Experienced visual creator, media producer and curator with five years of freelance experience and one year of full-time professional career experience. Educated in one of the best art and design institutions in Canada and am currently in the process of obtaining a master’s degree in the Academy of Film, Hong Kong Baptist University. Known for creating community-based visual content, organizing and producing impactful media content and curating photographic-based exhibitions.

  • Worked with the Public Relations Office of one of the major firms in the clean energy and environment technology sector in China. Responsible for the production of visual content for the firm’s publicity efforts and social media campaigns, as well as the preparation of English content for the firm’s international presence.

  • Freelance Photographer
  • October 2019 - May 2023. Toronto Canada & Shanghai/Nanjing, China.
  • Partnered with business partners, NGOs and various types of clients (ie, Righto App, The University of Toronto CSSA, Northern Speed Canada) in producing creative and impactful visual content for business promotion, events, charity initiatives and other purposes.
  • Specialized in providing visual solutions facing the automobile industry for major events including concerts, track days auto shows and other occasions. 


Exhibitions, Artworks and Projects 

  • Return with the Winds. Digital Photography & Installations. May 2023. OCAD University Gradex 108.
  • Participated in the biggest multi-discipline art and design exhibition in Toronto with my graduation thesis project, a digital photographic-based project featuring small-size installations focused on immigration and the traditional relationship between humans and land in Chinese and Tibetan Culture. 
  • Conducted a considerable amount of cultural, anthropological and other related research in the field in the process of completing this project.
  • Mirrors and Windows. Exhibition Curator and Organizer. Apr 2022. The Lyceum Gallery, Toronto, ON.
  • Participated in the organization and curative process of Mirrors and Windows, a conceptual photography exhibition featuring artworks by emerging artists from the GTA area shown in the lyceum gallery.
  • Participated in the organizational and curative process of the exhibitions, and the sale of selected artworks to the public where the income was donated to UNICEF.       
  • Completed an exhibition featuring more than 20 artworks while archiving a visitor volume of around 200 per day.
  • Last Days. Documentary Photography, for PHOT-3006, Relation to Production. OCAD University, Feb, 2022.
  • Completed the project “Last Days”, a documentary project focusing on areas which are about to be torn down for new construction in my hometown, Nanjing for the course Relation to Production in the 3rd year of my undergraduate study.
  • Conducted research and in-depth observations regarding social developments, economic status and contemporary history of China as a foundation of this project. Archived an 85% final grade with this project.
  • Voyage. Documentary Photography, for PHOT-4010, Landscape, Site & Place. OCAD University, Nov, 2022.
  • Completed a documentary photographic project focusing on the life and realities on the Toronto Islands, in representation of the urban realities in the post-pandemic era and the relationship between the new residences of the city and the First Nation culture of Canada.
  • Recognized and inspired by pronounced Canadian landscape photographer and the instructor of this course, April Hickox with this project by its documentation of the cultural, environmental and realistic significance of the Toronto Islands.
  • Toronto, an Equitable City, a New Narrative. Research Essay, for HUMN-S3002, Artists, Designers, City Build. OCAD University, Nov, 2022.
  • In a joint course between the major educational institutions in the city and the city of Toronto, under the instructions and lead of Dr. Sara Diamond, previously president of OCAD University, finished a research essay on the topics of how new decolonized and multiculturalism narratives are making the city a more equitable city with improved rooms for different cultures and thoughts to grow.

  • The University of Toronto Viewfinder Camera Club/ Director. Sept 2020 - Jun 2023.
  • Directed the publicity team of a photography-focused organization under the framework of the University of Toronto, the largest Mandarin and Cantonese-speaking organization of the category in the GTA, creating publicity materials and the organization’s social media presence. Organized more than 10 exhibitions, workshops and other events.
  • Archived a 40%  increase in social media reading volume on various online platforms including Instagram, Xiaohongshu and Wechat Pubic Platform.
